I have a silver dollar from 1796. I would like to know if it's genuine. Where can I go so a professional can take a look at it?

I have to say your coin is likely a counterfeit, but here are some helpful websites to check out.

If you came by it recently and it is not been in the family for 100 years or so then it is mostly a fake from China. The real thing is 39-40 mm in diameter and weighs about 26.96 grams. The denomination is on the edge and the edge is not reeded, it is plain so that the denomination could be put on it. If it meets all the above standards, it needs to be sent to a grading service and authenticated. They have lists of all the real die varieties. Also if there are any very small raised bumps or the letters are mushy looking and the lines are not sharp in those letters, it is a fake. Even if the letters are worn the out lines to the letters should be sharp in appearence.
